DataSphere adds Michael May as Vice President of Sales
Seattle, WA — April 27, 2010 — DataSphere Technologies, the leading provider of hyperlocal Web technology and sales solutions for media companies, today announced that Michael May has joined the company as Vice President of Sales.
“Over the past 18 years, Mike has demonstrated an outstanding capability to build and manage large and effective sales organizations," stated Satbir Khanuja, CEO of DataSphere. "He's a perfect fit to help us drive the sales initiatives on behalf of our rapidly growing list of media clients, which currently reach 30% of the US population. We're excited to have Mike serve on the senior executive team at DataSphere."
Mike now heads all sales operations at DataSphere, and brings extensive experience into the role. Before joining the company, he was with Qwest where he was Vice President of the $1 billion, 14 state Small Business Sales & Service organization. Mike turned around that business and grew revenue in very competitive markets by more than $133 million in 3 years. He improved the call centers, built new distribution channels, raised customer service levels, and his unit won the Gallup “Great Workplace” award. Prior to Qwest, Mike spent 14 years at MCI, where he held various sales and sales management positions, most recently as Site Director for MCI’s largest Small Business and Consumer Sales & Service call center. Mike holds a BS in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Auburn University.
